On the south side of the semi-octagonal apse is a large piscina
complete with drain, under a carved crocketted gable. When I
wanted to make a close-up picture I wasn't allowed to do so by
the gentleman on this picture. He turned out to be a Turkish Cypriot
artist (unknown to me) who claimed "he had to protect his copyright
on the artwork displayed in the piscina". Well...
