Egypt, Cairo, Citadel, Nameless tower

The Northern Enclosure of Cairo's Citadel is surrounded by the Citadel's original Ayyubid walls and towers.
A nameless tower of Salah ad-Din (centre of the pictures).
* At this point, the northeastern corner of the Northern Enclosure juts out from the rest of the fortress. Two
massive towers, the Burg ar-Ramla and the Burg al-Haddad, dominate the narrow pass between the Citadel
and the Muqattam hills. An enemy army could only bypass Cairo through the rockcut defile beneath these towers..
