The Northern Enclosure of Cairo's Citadel is surrounded by the Citadel's original Ayyubid walls and towers.
A nameless tower of Salah ad-Din (centre of picture). The unusually shaped merlons are the result of fanciful
modern restoration.
* Thirty-five meters beyond this tower, the walls turn north before meeting the Burg as-Sahra'.
