1191 - 1192 A.D. King Richard I, The Lionheart, conquers Cyprus on its ruler, Isaac Comnenus.
Richard marries Berengaria of Navarra in Limassol, where she is crowned Queen of England.
Richard then sells the island to the Knights Templar* for 100.000 Dinars but they resell
it at the same price to Guy de Lusignan, (former) King of Jerusalem.
* Other sources however leave the Templars out of this deal.
